Privacy Policy
Auto Clear History is designed to remove browsing-history entries on the user's device while preserving domains selected by the user. This policy explains what data the extension handles and how it is used.
Data handled by the extension
- Browsing history URLs: accessed locally to identify and delete entries that do not match the user's whitelist.
- Extension settings: the enabled state and domain whitelist are stored locally through Chrome's extension storage.
How data is used
Browsing-history URLs are used only to provide the extension's user-facing cleanup feature. The extension compares URL hostnames with the user's whitelist and removes non-whitelisted history entries when cleanup is enabled.
Data sharing and transmission
The extension does not transmit browsing history, whitelist entries, or settings to the developer or any external server. It does not sell, share, or disclose user data to third parties. It contains no analytics, advertising, tracking, or remote-code services.
Data storage and retention
The extension does not keep a separate copy of browsing history. The enabled state and whitelist remain in Chrome's local extension storage until the user changes them, clears extension storage, or uninstalls the extension.
Other browser data
The extension does not access or delete cookies, cache, passwords, downloads, form data, or website storage.
Limited Use
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
